Decorating your home often starts with the foundation: the floor. It is the base of every room and sets the mood for your interior. The color of the floor, in particular, can make a world of difference. Do you own a home in Spain and adore the Mediterranean style? Natural tones and a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces create a serene Spanish atmosphere. In this article, we’ve listed the most popular seamless floor colors. And the best news? We can create any color you desire!
At the top of the list is the sand-colored microcement floor, perfect for those who want a calm and natural aesthetic. This shade, ranging from beige to greige, reflects the soft earthy tones of Mediterranean beaches and integrates seamlessly into an interior that exudes tranquility and serenity. Sand tones are both modern and warm, beautifully complementing outdoor spaces rich in nature.
Examples: Customers often choose shades like Fungi or Ilona
Gray microcement floors remain a popular choice for their modern and minimalist appeal. They’re ideal for those who love a clean, light-filled interior. Additionally, gray tones enhance the spaciousness of a room, especially when paired with large windows that invite Mediterranean sunshine into your home.
Examples: Shades like Claudio, Lago di Garda and Genua create a fresh and cooling effect.
Taupe, a subtle mix of gray and brown, offers exceptional flexibility. Taupe microcement floors provide a warm, neutral base that pairs effortlessly with natural materials like wood, stone, and linen. This color is perfect for connecting indoor and outdoor spaces. Consider using the same color for your poolside terrace!
Examples: Popular choices include Lazise, Rimini, and Rome
Brown microcement floors instantly bring warmth and coziness to your home. These tones beautifully complement a Mediterranean style, where natural materials like terracotta, wood, and limestone often take center stage. A brown floor creates a harmonious and inviting interior.
Examples: Favorites include Monza, Lucia, and Padua
Black microcement floors are perfect for those looking to make a statement. This color exudes luxury, elegance, and depth, and it can work surprisingly well in a Mediterranean interior—especially when combined with warm wooden accents and natural fabrics. A black floor adds character without compromising the cozy atmosphere.
Examples: Try Leonardo, Francesco, or Alesio for a bold look.

Can a cast floor be applied directly over tiles?
Yes, a cast floor can be applied directly over tiles. We begin by applying a thin, solid layer of cement to create a smooth foundation, then build up our cast floor system with five carefully applied layers.
How long does it take to apply a cast floor?
Installing an IZU floor takes 5–7 days, followed by a drying period. 48 hours after the work is finished, you can step on it on socks. The floor will need a week before furniture can be placed. In total, the house needs to be empty for 2 weeks.
Is an IZU® cast floor a better alternative than microcement?
Unlike microcement, IZU floors are highly resistant to scratches, UV light, and water, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Their superior strength comes from a specialized material composition based on resin and hard minerals. With the right base, our floors are built up in five layers of ultra-durable material, ensuring a flawless and long-lasting finish.
What is the thickness of an IZU® cast floor?
Our floors are only 2-3 mm thick, excluding the leveling layer. This layer might need to be applied to smoothen the surface. The thickness of this layer depends on the surface below.
Is an IZU floor suitable for outside?
Yes! Our floors are UV- and waterproof, and therefore perfect for your pool area, terrace, and patio. Our floors are very easy to keep clean, will keep their color and don’t stain.
What happens if coffee or wine spills on an IZU® cast floor?
Absolutely nothing! Our floors are protected with an antibacterial, stain-resistant resin that prevents any dirt or liquid from being absorbed. Just wipe away the spill with a damp cloth, and it will look like it never happened.
