How thick is an IZU floor?
Our floors are only 2-3 mm thick, excluding the leveling layer. This layer might need to be applied to smoothen the surface. The thickness of this layer depends on the surface below.
Which floor should I choose?

Can I spill red wine on the floor?
Yes, even wine does not soak into the floor. Not even if you leave it overnight. That is due to the dense structure of the floor. But of course, you should remove it.
Can an IZU floor be applied on top of my existing floor?
In most cases, a cast floor can indeed be applied over the existing floor. This can save a lot of time, because you don’t have to remove anything. However, it does depend on the type of floor and the condition of the floor. We can only apply IZU if the subfloor is smooth, waterproof, and sturdy.
Do you want to have a cast floor laid over an existing floor? Then ask us for advice first and, if necessary, send photos with your request. This prevents inconveniences later.
How much does an IZU floor cost?
The price of a lava stone floor is between 100 and 150 euros per m2. For walls, it is between 150 and 200 euros per m2. Of course, the total surface area and the location determine the final price. For a customized quote, it is best to visit our showroom.
How long does it take to realize an IZU floor?
Making an IZU floor takes 5-7 days. After this, the floor must dry. You won’t be able to walk on it for 2 weeks.
Is an IZU floor suitable for outside?
Yes! Our floors are UV- and waterproof, and therefore perfect for your pool area, terrace, and patio. Our floors are very easy to keep clean, will keep their color and don’t stain.
Will my pets damage my IZU floor?
Not at all. Our floors are very scratch-resistant and hard to damage, so perfect when you have pets (and/or children).
Is this a better alternative to microcement?
Unlike microcement, IZU floors are completely resilient to scratching, UV light, and water. They can be used outside, as well as inside. The reason why our floors are stronger than microcement is thanks to the composition of materials and the way of application. With the right base, it takes 5 layers of super-strong material to create the finished floor.
Does a lava stone floor work with underfloor heating?
Yes, of course! Underfloor heating is possible in combination with our floors. Underfloor heating is usually cast in the cement. Then we level the substrate and apply our products.
